Home-School Communication
Agendas
The agenda will be used to share highlights from the day, upcoming events, materials needed and student goals or needs, projects we are working on, what we are studying. This will be done in a journal style which will also give the opportunity for students to practice their printing, or, for some students ready to make the change, handwriting. Increasingly through the year, students will be composing their own sentences to share their school day with their families.

PLEASE NOTE: If you have concerns, I would appreciate that they are written in a note, phone call, or email. This way, the agendas can be a positive momento of the year for your child. I am happy to call or set up meetings after or before school to talk about these concerns. For your child to progress the best they can, we are a team in this community of learners.

- Words kids are struggling with in their reading at home so we can support them at school.
- A record of any reading done at home whether you are reading to your child, with your child or your child is reading to you.
- Activity highlights we can celebrate with your child.
- Important reminders (medications, requests for a call) etc that will help us meet your child's needs at school.
