Writing goals:
Writing activities can include the reading responses above, creative writing, and word work.
Writing goals:
- Developing ideas for writing through planning and sequencing,
- writing strong sentences with interesting words which create pictures in the reader's mind,
- organizing events and topics into paragraphs to help the reader follow along
- editing for punctuation, capitals, and spelling.
Writing activities can include the reading responses above, creative writing, and word work.
- Use Spelling City online as that programs allows me to view your work and see where I can help.
- Follow the reading response prompt I will be sending using a paper or online writing
- Respond to SeeSaw prompts or record stories by using the notepaper screen on Seesaw.
- Write an article for an imaginary or real kids' magazine to help others make or do something you are good at.
- Write out directions or a recipe for something you are working on.
- Write me a letter and tell me about what is happening in your world. I WILL respond!
- Send me suggestions for other writing ideas that I can share with the rest of the class.
